My research target is from earth's surface to deep underground. My research is evaluating properties of geotechnical materials, based on geological, petrological, and mineralogical approaches. Field works and laboratory experiments are primary source of this research. The research themes are evaluation of properties of natural and engineered barriers for geological disposal of radioactive waste, evaluation of properties of clay mineral-bearing geomaterials, development of an accurate techniques for landslide hazard assessment, and others.
